These terms govern your use of the Global Healthcare Compass platform. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms and our privacy policy.
Platform Overview
Global Healthcare Compass (GHC) is a healthcare facilitation platform that connects patients with verified healthcare providers through independent ranking algorithms and transparent performance metrics.
What GHC Does
- •Technical orchestrator connecting patients, providers, and healthcare facilities
- •Independent ranking algorithm, published and auditable, with no administrative path to alter scores
- •Custodian of your patient-owned health record with append-only architecture
What GHC Does NOT Do
- ×GHC is not a healthcare provider and does not practice medicine
- ×GHC is not an insurance company or claims administrator
- ×GHC is never in the financial chain - payments go directly to providers
Eligibility & Registration
Eligibility Requirements
To use GHC services, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be at least 18 years old or have parental/guardian consent
- Have legal capacity to enter into binding agreements
- Provide accurate and truthful information during registration
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your country of residence
Account Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
Cross-Border Healthcare
GHC facilitates cross-border healthcare connections while maintaining strict compliance with medical practice laws in each country where care is delivered.
Important Medical Practice Disclaimer
Medical practice occurs where the patient physically receives care. GHC is a technology layer for connection and verification only; it does not practise medicine or deliver clinical advice in its own name.
Forms of cross-border care
Remote consultations
Where regulations allow, patients are connected to licensed providers in the relevant country; the platform is not a party to clinical decisions.
Travel for treatment
Referral to providers in a destination country for in-person care, with the country of care and responsibility disclosed before any commitment.
Payment Terms
GHC facilitates payment processing but is never the merchant of record. All payments flow directly between patients and healthcare providers.
Booking Confirmation Fees
A fixed booking confirmation fee (not percentage-based) is collected to secure your appointment. This fee is processed through verified payment facilitators and remitted directly to the provider's merchant account.
Procedure Payments
Full procedure costs are settled directly between you and your chosen provider through one of two paths: (1) Direct payment at point of care, or (2) Pre-authorized payment through verified payment processors. GHC never holds patient funds.
Accepted Payment Methods
- Direct payment to provider (cash, card, bank transfer)
- Insurance coverage (where accepted by provider)
- Provider-offered payment plans and installment options
Refunds & Cancellations
Refund policies are determined by individual healthcare providers. GHC may facilitate refund processing but does not set refund terms or hold refund reserves.
Intellectual Property
GHC Intellectual Property
The GHC platform, including software, algorithms, trademarks, and content, is owned by Global Healthcare Compass and protected by intellectual property laws.
User-Generated Content
You retain ownership of content you create, but grant GHC a license to use it for platform operations, analytics, and service improvement (always anonymized for research purposes).
License to Use
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the GHC platform for legitimate healthcare purposes only.
Liability & Disclaimers
Medical Disclaimer
GHC DOES NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE, DIAGNOSIS, OR TREATMENT. All medical decisions remain between you and your chosen healthcare providers. GHC is not responsible for medical outcomes.
Platform Availability
While we strive for high availability, GHC is provided 'as is' without warranties. We are not liable for platform downtime, data loss, or technical issues beyond our reasonable control.
Ranking Algorithm Disclaimer
Our ranking algorithms are based on objective data and transparent methodologies, but rankings should be one factor among many in your healthcare decisions.
Liability Limitations
GHC's liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages arising from platform use.
Account Termination
Termination by User
You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting our support team.
Termination by GHC
We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these terms, fraudulent activity, or other legitimate business reasons with appropriate notice.
Effects of Termination
Upon termination, your access to the platform ceases, but your health records remain available for download for 90 days, after which they may be archived according to medical record retention requirements.
Governing Law & Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising from these terms or platform use shall be resolved in the courts of Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
We encourage resolution of disputes through good-faith negotiation before formal legal proceedings.
